Hi everyone! After finishing covering my first NFL draft, I am turning my eyes towards new projects this summer. I am still going to focus on football, and use the lens of the draft to talk about a range of topics I am interested in. Here is what you can look out for before the season starts.
2026 draft prospect scouting
Team predictions for the year
The changing route between college and the NFL
(The big project) Positional value in today’s NFL
That last project is one that I was inspired to write by a discussion Robert Mays and Derrik Klassen had on their The Athletic Football Show podcast. They discussed how important context is when talking about any one quarterback's situation, and how many teams would win the Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes as their QB, and how many QBs could have won with the Eagles. If you want to watch it I would highly recommend it and you can find it below:
And another shoutout to Ted Knutson and the TransferFlow team for inspiration to do this as well.
You should be seeing at least two things from me a week until the start of the NFL season, so thanks for coming on this ride, and I hope you enjoy it it, and if you do, share with your friends who you think might as well!
